Purchase of R&D infrastructure for the development of the autonomous forklift R&D department

The Inovatica AGV project received European funding to expand R&D infrastructure supporting autonomous forklift development and advanced AMR/AGV systems.

The project received funding from the European Funds under the European Funds for Lodzkie 2021-2027 program, financed by the European Regional Development Fund. Priority: FELD.01 European Funds for an innovative Lodzkie, Measure: FELD.01.02 Enterprise investments in research and innovation, Regional Program: European Funds for Lodzkie 2021-2027. Grant agreement no. FELD.01.02-IP.02-0006/25-00.

Project goal

The goal of the project is to expand research and development infrastructure through the purchase of advanced simulation systems supporting the development of autonomous AMR/AGV vehicles, integration of manipulators with mobile vehicles, multi-robot fleet management and warehouse operations automation. The project is intended to reach Technology Readiness Level 9 (TRL 9), which means full readiness for market deployment.

Scope of activities

The following activities will be carried out as part of the project:

  • purchase of a simulator for modeling AMR/AGV vehicles, AMR/AGV vehicle physics and warehouse environments for AGV/AMR systems,
  • purchase of a motion planning and manipulator control system integrated with AMR/AGV and warehouse systems,
  • purchase of a multi-robot fleet management system integrated with AMR/AGV and logistics environments,
  • purchase of a simulator for robotic operations management and warehouse environments.

Target groups

The project is addressed to:

  • the research and development team,
  • companies and partners using the internal transport automation technologies being developed,
  • recipients of solutions for logistics and modern warehouses who will benefit from more advanced, efficient and safer AMR/AGV systems.

Project effects and outcomes

The project will result in the development of an R&D environment enabling the testing and optimization of modern solutions for autonomous internal transport. The planned effects include:

  • shorter time needed to design new vehicles,
  • reduction of prototyping and operating costs,
  • fewer manipulation errors,
  • shorter transport times and lower fleet energy consumption,
  • higher efficiency of logistics and warehouse operations,
  • process automation and technology readiness for market deployment.

Project value

The total project value is: PLN 1,524,900.00.

European Funds contribution

The amount of European funding is: PLN 773,593.50.

Project implementation period

The project will be carried out from January 1, 2026 to September 30, 2026.
